Unbreaded Asks: What's Your Favorite Game Day Sandwich?

Pizza and wings are great, but it’s the hoagie tray that really gets us in the mood for kick off. The NFL season (aka the greatest time of the year) has officially started, and it has us pondering what constitutes a great game day sandwich. A variety of hot and cold sandwiches, from Italian and turkey hoagies, to cheesesteaks seems to be most fitting. At a tailgate, you can never go wrong with burgers, hot dogs and sausage sandwiches right off the grill. Even Donovan McNabb and a few of his teammates on the Eagles have a game day tradition of chicken cheesesteaks from Talk of the Town down by the stadium.

So what strikes you as the perfect game day sandwich? We’ll try not to trash talk you if you’re rooting for any team besides our beloved Eagles, after all, Steelers fans have Primanti Brothers and the Bears rock Al’s Italian Beef.

Anything from Sarcone's, although we usually get Cosmi's because it's closer and delivers.

Anything messy. This Sunday I'll probably rock the brisket sandwich from 4th St Deli.

I have to second schnablebg - anything from Sarcone's is tops, except for maybe the garlic lover's...that can be pretty hard to handle.
