Every kid’s dream just came true.  Sandwiches that look like a baby elephant and his mama, or a puppy in his dog house are now, officially, the best birthday present for kids (and their parents.)  The Lunch Punch offers two sets of plastic molds that can easily cut interesting shapes out of bread and turn sandwiches into animal friends and puzzle pieces.

Critter Cutters are a set of oversized cookie cutters in animal shapes: a butterfly, a pair of fish, a dog and two elephants.  Match & Munch is a second set of cutters that create interlocking puzzle shapes for a single sandwich or multiple sandwiches that can be joined together to create a unique and festive tray.

The molded plastic cutters are not sharp to the touch, but very effective at removing only the crust and preserving the majority of the sandwich.  Made of BPA free, USDA Food Grade approved plastic, the Lunch Punch is also fully recyclable.

Created by an American woman living in Australia, Lunch Punch sets are available in limited distribution in the US.  Get em for $16 (per set of 4) at Lindentree Boutique.

I'd like the Critter Cutters as well. My kids would love to eat an elephant and her baby!

I'd love the Match and Munch. Maybe they could keep my son busy long enough for me to eat my own sandwich.

Don't ask me why, but I've always wanted to make a PB&J in the shape of a heart. But I like the butterfly in the Critter Cutters just as well.
